You got have faith in Something

Faith in Something....

We had if for that spoon, we had it for that glass dick, or that bottle.

Let's get real here. This is Jason, and Jason would do whatever it was to fulfill his faith.  I would test customs, I would track the UPS truck and meet them on the highway rather than the house.  I eventually would give a blow job to hold that big sack.  Not of balls, (didn't have the mouth for it) motherfuckers, but of power.  The chunks the size of your hand.  The gallon size bags.  The black neoprene wrap lbs that looked like black suppositories that went inside a dinosaur.  The big dinosaur.

You inserted the needle, and you had the faith that it would work.  It would fix you!

So where do we start with faith in something else?  How do I develop faith in myself?  The truth lies in your own defeat.  When all the walls have closed in and the doors are bolted closed.  Execution time!

These are matters of reality, when there is no escaping what is coming at you.  Not always, but for the majority, it was the defining moment when the only thing left for an option, was faith.

The faith in something greater.  The faith in ourselves.

The saturation point is despite what we were facing, the prison sentence, the cancer, the drug problem or the losing of a family member, the situation passed, and we moved on, but our faith didn't.  It stayed until we faced another opposition.  Turmoil! It is always in reserve inside us.

It never fails us.

We fail it.  We neglect it.  We don't practice our faith like we should.  We don't exercise our faith like we do our bodies in the gym.  We just keep it in the dry storage like we do the food that will last 50 years.  We reserve it just in case we need it.  All the while knowing that we will need it, but being in denial when that moment will be.

It's a guarantee that life will happen, and in the happening will be your struggle and the strengthening of your faith.  Of mine as well.  Crazy how that happens. You lift weights to get stronger, struggle.  Iron sharpens iron. Struggle.  Out of the fire comes the refinement. A better version of you and greater portion of faith.

So it makes good sense to me, for us, to practice our faith during the good times as well.  That we can condition our faith in God and in ourselves by practicing when the tides are high and all ships rise, as well as low when they all sink down.

Our faith, in theory, should not be like our visits to see the drug dealer.  We didn't have a constant relationship with a dude slinging mountains of dope.  We got our shit and left, unless you manufactured. Meth!  Then you hung out and did whatever, but for the majority of us we got our fix and hauled ass.

This was like your faith when you were in need! In peril!

Today, like your freedom, whether it be from dope, alcohol or blowing the drug dealer, you practice the greatness of it daily.  For many of us it is in the shower praying, talking to God while we are driving, reading a mediation, or simply saying "Thank you, Lord" before eating dinner.

When it comes to the faith of ourselves, it is the talking to the mirror and execution of our daily tasks and goals.  It is getting the work done!

For our survival against what we can't understand, we must be consistent with what will keep us sane in times of trials.

Our faith in God and ourselves.

So daily condition yourself by practicing it and keep yourself sharpened with what we all know is the answer to the questions that we can't answer.

Our Faith!
